OceanaGold (Philippines), Inc. operates the Didipio Mine, a world class underground gold-copper mine located in the provinces of Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino. OceanaGold is the Philippine Government’s mining contractor under a Financial or Technical Assistance Agreement, and the Company has been responsibly producing dore and copper concentrates since April 2013. It delivers to the Philippine Central Bank (Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas) at least 25% of its annual dore production.
With a workforce of around 2,000 employees, mainly Filipinos from Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino, the Didipio Mine has been a key driver of socio-economic benefits in the region since 2013.
Committed to the World Gold Council’s Responsible Gold Mining Principles (RGMPs) and UN Global Compact principles, OceanaGold ensures responsible operations at Didipio Mine. Around Php 1.3 billion has been invested in social programs, including Social Development Management Program (SDMP), Company Disclosures (CSR), Community Development Fund (CDF), Provincial Development Fund (PDF), and partnerships with local governments.
