Chairman of the Board
Peter John Sharpe
Peter Sharpe is a mining executive with more than 25 years of broad-based industry experience spanning Australia, Papua New Guinea, North America and South America. Prior to joining OceanaGold, Mr Sharpe spent the vast majority of his career working for various operations across the three major mining companies of Newcrest, South 32 and BHP.
At Newcrest, Mr Sharpe held senior leadership roles including General Manager at Cadia, General Manager at Lihir and most recently as the Director of Integration for the recently acquired Pretivm Resources in Canada. Prior to joining Newcrest, Mr Sharpe had 18 years with BHP and South32 where he held a number of senior leadership roles including VP Operations Cannington, Asset President NSW Energy Coal and VP Colombia Coal where he represented BHP’s 33% JV interest in Cerrejon in Colombia. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from the University of Newcastle.

Atty. Joan D. Adaci Cattiling
Atty. Joan D. Adaci-Cattiling is the President and General Manager – External Affairs and Social Performance of OceanaGold (Philippines), Inc., She is also sit as a member of the Board of Directors.
Atty. Joan is the first female president of OceanaGold (Philippines) and has been in the mining industry for 16 years.
She is a Member of the Board of the Chamber of Mines of the Philippines, a member of the Multi-Stakeholder Group of the Philippine Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (PH-EITI) and a Trustee of Diwata-Women in Resource Development, Inc.
Atty. Joan obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication – Major in Journalism and her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Philippines, Diliman. She placed 5th in the 2000 Bar examinations, and she worked with SyCip Salazar Hernandez and Gatmaitan, and Mirant (Philippines) Corporation prior to joining OceanaGold in 2007 as Head of Legal.
Atty. Cattiling is happily married with 3 sons and proud member of the Tuwali and Applay indigenous communities in Northern Luzon.
General Manager
David Bickerton
David Bickerton is also part of the Board of Directors and the appointed General Manager for OceanaGold (Phils.) Inc. since 2022. He has been with OceanaGold Corporation for over 12 years and was based in New Zealand as OceanaGold’s Project Director – Waihi Expansion.
He has spent his years with OceanaGold executing and commissioning large scale infrastructure projects for the company in New Zealand, the United States of America, and the Philippines.
David is skilled in the development, integration and implementation of sustainable mining projects, and believes in the importance of collaborating with stakeholders to design and build innovative and viable projects that deliver the best strategic outcomes for both the company and the communities they work within.
Treasurer
Cherrie Lou Burabod
Cherrie Lou Burabod sits as the treasurer of the Board and currently holds the position of Manager – Commercial Department that managers financial and commercial accounting, procurement and supply chain of OceanaGold (Philippines), Inc.
She is a multifaceted professional with substantial experience in Financial and Management Accounting and exposure to external Audit. Trained and gained experiences in OceanaGold Corporation’s Melbourne and New Zealand business units.
Since 2005, she works for the mining industry, Rapu-Rapu Processing, Inc. and Rapu-Rapu Minerals, Inc. in the Philippines and Phu Bia Mining Limited in Lao People's Democratic Republic.
Prior on her stint in the mining industry she works for reputable organizations for Sycip Gorres Velayo & Co., Software Specialist, Inc. and Business Processing Outsourcing International, Inc.
Cherrie Lou is an accomplished accountant, and she earned her undergraduate degree at Bicol University while she completed her post graduate diploma in Business Administration in 2010 at Aquinas University, in Legazpi City, Province of Albay.
Corporate Secretary
ATTY. Karina P. Dulinayan
Atty. Karina P. Dulinayan is the Legal, Permitting and Compliance Manager of OceanaGold (Philippines), Inc., a subsidiary of OceanaGold Corporation and the Government’s FTAA contractor for the Didipio Gold and Copper Mine located in the provinces of Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino. She has been in the mining industry for around 13 years, working at the mine site. With her work on the ground, she actively participates in programs/works related to community relations, human rights, women in mining, and environment.
Atty. Dulinayan obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology and her Bachelor of Laws from St. Louis University- Baguio City. She was admitted to the bar in 2007 and a member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines – Nueva Vizcaya Chapter. Atty. Dulinayan is also a mother of 2 and proud member of the Tuwali and Yatuka indigenous communities in the Province of Ifugao.
Assistant Corporate Secretary
ATTY. Dyann Rabaya
Atty. Dyann joined OceanaGold (Philippines), Inc in 2016 and was involved in contracts management, training, legal proceedings and a champion of good governance. She is currently the Superintendent – Legal Counsel under the Licensing, Permitting and Compliance Department.
She has extensive experience in court practice handling criminal, civil, and administrative cases having served as a Public Attorney in the cities of Malolos and Angeles District Offices. Her experiences include working in the electric cooperative sector as well as in taxation.
Atty. Dyann completed her law degree in 2009 at the University of Cordilleras and the following year she passed her bar examination. Her undergraduate course is Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Saint Louis University in Baguio City.
Atty. Dyann is happily married and a mother to an only child.
